This is a special song, a special moment. And there are few reasons.
First, this track is a result of recording sessions with two extremely talented Cuban musicians. Chichi is a blind guitarist from Santiago De Cuba, blessed with an incredible feeling for sounds. His solo was the first and only approach to this song. The Yasek Manzano, jazz and avant-garde trumpeter from Havana, is a volcano of energy and spontaneity, a head full of ideas. Hear him live is an unforgettable experience.
Second, today I am setting off for the fifth time in Cuba. I’m going to learn about life, body, soul and music. I will play, perform and record. I will be tasting things and emotions. Without any rush, with tranquility. Hand in hand with my Embassy I will spread a word about Poland, too.
Third, I am publishing this piece on my sister’s birthday, the day before my mom’s birthday. Although I am not always a perfect brother and son, they support me and accept my choices. They give me the strength and gentleness, which I would not have had without them. Thank you My Ladies!
